Program

   My program follows a play based approach. The program is designed to be flexible and work with the variable and changing needs and interests of the children. There is plenty of opportunity for participation in a free play experience as well as group-related activities. At The Tot Spot, I encourage children to use their imagination and have fun while learning. I work with basics such as colors, numbers, letters, shapes and opposites. I teach the children about the days of the week, month, weather and seasons. Learning is done through games, stories and music. Daycare themes and activities will change with the seasons, holidays and interests of the children. Sharing, taking turns, and respect for self, others and the environment is emphasized.

Daily Schedule 

8:00am-8:30 am- Children Arrive, Greet Families .

8:30am-9:30 am- Free play & then tidy up.

9:30am- 10:00 am- Circle Time: calendar,weather,stories and games.

10:00- 10:30 am-  Wash up and have snack.

10:30am-11:15am- Free play outside.

11:15am- Children begin coming inside, wash up and have craft time & group activity (baking,playdoh, painting).

12:00-12:30pm- Lunch

12:30pm-1:00pm- Story or other wind down activity.

1:00pm-2:30pm- Nap/quiet time. For children who do not nap activities such as puzzles, coloring, and learning activities.

2:30pm-3:00pm- Children up from nap, wash up, tidy up toys.

3:00pm-3:30pm- Snack time.

3:30pm-4:15pm- Inside free play.

4:15pm-5:00pm- Outdoor play (weather permitting) and ready to go home.
